The Runa is a three in one bridle, for the rider who wants to make the switch to bitless riding but still wants to have the option to ride with a bit. Can be used as a sidepull, with bit and in combination. The Runa is the result of a collaboration between F.R.A and Equibitfit. The name Runa refers to an Icelandic mare by Géraldine Vandevenne, owner Equibitfit, professional horse dentist and bit,- bitless bridle fitter. Geraldine was regularly asked for a combination bridle, also at F.R.A. this idea lived. With the Runa you can ride bitless (sidepull version) but also with a bit, sometimes necessary for refinement or as a switch to completely bitless riding. There is also the possibility to ride with double rein.
For example, you can attach 1 set of reins to the head (sidepull) and the other set to the bit. Both options can help countless riders cross the line to bitless, or if you want to slowly get your horse used to riding with bit and keep the contact light an optimal possibility. At the Runa 2 headpieces are offered. One is complete and cut out behind the ears for horses that tolerate pressure everywhere. The second offers freedom and comfort behind the ears especially suitable for horses that are sensitive in that place. So you can easily try for yourself what your horse prefers to experience! And as an extra, the Runa gets 2 front straps, in V shape a smooth leather and one with bling to shine in the woods or on competition
